My Passion to take photographs has been inspired by beauty in all things.

As part of my spiritual and personal journey I've learnt to really love and appreciate our beautiful planet, especially nature. It all started when I began to really appreciate a log of wood, insects, other creatures and life forms on the beach.

II am a self-taught photographer having learnt through reading photography magazines borrowed from the library, from Internet sites and my own experimentation.

My Intention for milikacreativearts is to provide a Gallery where people from all walks of life can visit and enjoy my artwork.

About Milika

The establishment of the gallery and business milikacreativearts

is dedicated to my late mother Milika Hu'ia Mamahi Teu Lafitani.

My mother was one of five siblings and was named after her Partenal Grandmother Milika Hu'ia Teu.

My mother herself named one of her niece's after her, Milika Hu'ia Teu Amosa and I named my own daughter after her Milika Claire Mcleod.

Milika was an amazing person, interesting, compassionate, complex and passionate. She was very loving and very giving to her family, the community, the Churches and especially to her relation that was less ffortunate than herself.

Milika's greatest gift was her creativity; with her hands she could create anything that she put her mind to. She was also very spiritual person with a deep faith in God and a strong belief in being well educated.

My mother was well loved by her family and there are about eight Milika named after her who live around the world with the youngest being my niece Sisifa Milika Hu'ia 1 year old.

My father, Tevita Tofua Lafitani was a hard working man who always provided for my two sisters and two brothers and me when we were growing up. He was a very happy person giving and very passionate.

To all the Milika's around the world may you be creative, compassionate, loving, and giving of yourselves.
